Woodbridge named suburb growing fastest in United States
A new report from Travel + Leisure has named Woodbridge as the fastest growing suburb in the United States.

Highlights of the report show that Woodbridge experience a population growth of 887 percent between 2018 and 2023. The population of Woodbridge was 4,000 in 2018 and grew to over 43,000 people in 2023. This number is based on real estate activity and trends in migration.
Also highlighted in the report is the relative affordability in the area around Washington, D.C. as the median price of a home is $500,000. It also is close to commuter routes such as the Virginia Railway Express and Interstate 95. Potomac Mills, one of the largest outlet malls in the area, is also in Woodbridge.
President and CEO of the Prince William Chamber of Commerce, Robert Sweeney, said this is an amazing recognition and honor and expressed his pride of the leaders of the community for making Woodbridge an ideal destination. Sweeny also gave credit to the Supervisors in Prince William County—Kenny Boddye, Victor Angry, Andrea Bailey, and Margaret Franklin for their leadership in their efforts regarding economic development and housing affordability.
Sweeney said that the area has also had a few successes in tourism that highlights the rising visibility of the region to attract global attention.
