Woodbridge becomes home to high-end apartment building

Viridium, a new luxury apartment building with 318 units, is now open in Woodbridge.

The apartment building is on the Occoquan River in Woodbridge and is the completion of a vision begun by The IDI Group Companies over 15 years ago. The sister building of Viridium, Rivergate North, was completed and leased in 2008 and has 402 apartments. IDI partnered with PTM Partners on this project.

Viridium includes a fitness and health center; a resort-like outdoor pool with a sundeck, a rooftop terrace with wooded views, a co-working business lounge, a gaming lounge, a conference room, a dog park and pet-grooming facility, a corn hole and putting green, and a club lounge. Brochure printing is often used to highlight such amenities to attract residents to such luxury projects. Heffner Architects of Alexandria designed Viridium, which was built by John Moriarty and Associates of Arlington.

Chief financial officer at PTM, Scott Meyer, expressed his pride that the vision has become a state-of-the-art community in which hundreds of people can live. Carlos Cecchi, managing director of IDI, said that it is rewarding to see this community come to life and show the sort of lifestyles the tenants will be able to enjoy. He added that the response from the community regarding this project has shown it to have been well received.
