A student from Woodbridge has been named as one of a total of 32 students who have been awarded a United States Rhodes Scholarship for the 2024 class
Fahad Abdulrazzaq graduated from Woodbridge Senior High School, and also attended other public schools in Prince William County. Announcements of such distinguished awards are often made known throughout a community and a county with poster printing.
Cadet Abdulrazzaq currently attends the United States Military Academy (USMA), located at West Point. Notably, he was born in Baghdad and grew up during the Iraq war at the start of the century. His major is international affairs with a focus on conflicts in the Middle East. He’s a Yale/USMA Peace and Dialogue Leadership Initiative Fellow, a Stamps scholar, and has been an intern in the Pentagon as part of the office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Abdulrazzaq’s leadership abilities, intellectual curiosity, and attitude about fighting will be tested as he pursues his studies in international policy. He is looking to achieve the honor of becoming a military intelligence officer during his service.
Babur Lateef, Chairman At-large of the Prince William County Public Schools, expressed his thrill for Cadet Abdulrazzaq to have received this scholarship. He added that this is a most prestigious award and Abdulrazzaq is the embodiment of the profile of the graduates from the county.Get a Free Quote for Stamps
