New emergency services added in Woodbridge area
Sentara Lake Ridge, one of Sentara’s facilities, now is offering ambulance services to those in the greater Woodbridge area thanks to a partnership with Prince William County Fire and Rescue.
The community can be made aware of such new services with the help of local print shops, which can create posters, flyers, and other printed materials about these added services.
Sentara Lake Ridge (SLR) is on Minnieville Road, and has added emergency care beyond the main hospital, Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge. Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center provides services for cancer, urology, orthopedics, heart and vascular, and diabetes, along with advanced imaging and women’s services.
The president at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center, Jeff Joyner, said that there has been growth in this part of the county, resulting in an increased demand for efficient and timely emergency care. He added that the standalone emergency department at SLR will help to lighten the burden at the medical center’s main campus and ensure that prompt medical attention is given to patients.
Sentara Lake Ridge is supporting the new ambulance service by boosting the training of staff, acquiring more medical equipment, and strengthening its relationships with Prince William County Fire and Rescue. A battalion chief for the Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue. Robert Moreau, spoke about how this will increase options within a growing community.
