Changes for Woodbridge area bus service

Bus services provided by OmniRide in eastern Prince William County will soon be undergoing some changes.

These changes are designed to serve new destinations, expand the service footprint, and to streamline local service and make it more efficient. The cities and towns that will be affected by these changes will include Woodbridge, Dale City, Dumfries, and Lake Ridge.

Among the routes that will be affected include Route 93, known as the Woodbridge Local, which will cover part of the Lake Ridge/Woodbridge route and go to new destinations. Similar changes will affect Route 92 which is the Lake Ridge Local route. However, there will also be some stops in Woodbridge, Dale City, and Dumfries where service will be discontinued with alternate stops recommended.

Local Print shops can assist in informing commuters of such changes with Flyers, Brochures, or other printed materials.

On-demand and off-route trips of buses in eastern Prince William County will no longer be made. Residents with disabilities will have access to the new OmniRide Access paratransit service which will operate with three-quarters of a mile of all local bus routes. The hours for this paratransit service will be from 5:10 a.m. to 10:40 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 6:50 a.m. to 10:15 p.m. on the weekends. A registration process will be required for all those who want to access this OmniRide Access service.
