Norfolk to hold vibrant cultural celebration

The 15th Annual Virginia Caribfest will be coming to Norfolk this August at Town Point Park.

Virginia Caribbean-American Cultural Association, Inc is the organizer behind Caribfest, an annual event that lets the community experience other cultures. The festival features several talented street performers and bands who will play genres like reggae and calypso. Vendors selling international foods will be attending the celebration, and guests can also browse arts and crafts exhibits. Cultural festivals like Caribfest can use banner printing to raise the event’s visibility.

Many activities will be held throughout Caribfest, including two themed parties on the Spirit of Norfolk ship. There will also be a colorful parade that features stilt walkers and costumed performers during the festival that is free for families to view. Children can play in the event’s designated kids’ zone. Guests can bring personal umbrellas and lawn chairs to use at the festival.

The cultural celebration will be held on Saturday, August 8th from noon to 9:30 pm. Those interested in watching live music performances at the festival can buy VIP tickets starting at $75, which includes preferred seating and drinks. Attendees will not be permitted to bring coolers or outside food and beverages to Caribfest. Only service pets will be allowed to enter the festival. The free parade will begin at 1:00 pm and will finish at 4:00 pm.
