Norfolk to organize small business workshop

The Mid Atlantic Tech Bridge (MATB) will hold a workshop for businesses in April at The Assembly in Norfolk.

The NavalX MATB Small Business Workshop is a program where people can listen to knowledgeable speakers and network with fellow professionals. Guests can hear from small business professionals and learn about topics like the National Security Innovation Network. The experience will allow attendees to have one-person sessions with the event’s speakers. People can attend a virtual version of the small business workshop on Zoom.

The MATB is a naval station in Norfolk that is led by organizations such as the Naval Information Warfare Center and the Atlantic Hampton Roads Detachment. The station has many focus areas, including biological technologies, wireless communications, and ship design. Several informative events have been organized by the MATB on subjects such as how to grow businesses, the impact of patents, and funding resources for veterans. The organization has also hosted multiple networking activities at The Assembly.

The small business workshop will be on Wednesday, April 30th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. General admission to the in-person experience and virtual session will be free. Registration for the MATB’s program is not necessary, though people may claim their free tickets online. Organizations that hold similar activities for business owners can use poster printing to advertise their workshops to more people.
