Norfolk wine festival set for May

Town Point Park at the Downtown Norfolk Waterfront will hold a wine-tasting festival in May.

The Spring Town Point Virginia Wine Festival is an annual wine-sampling experience where guests can enjoy live performances and browse local wineries. There are several businesses that will participate in the fest, including The Homeplace Vineyards, the Elk Island Winery, and the Lake Anna Winery. This year’s entertainment lineup will feature Mike Proffitt, Jesse Chong, and Brandon Bowers. Attendees will also get to browse vendors like the Rambling Rose and Oyster Jewelry.

Those who want a VIP experience at the wine festival can pay for a small group workshop with a local wine producer and expert. The activity will include a masterclass with the owner of Vino Culture, Kiera Hill. Participants will be taught how to judge different wines and will get to try multiple award-winning Virginia wines. Guests will get to take part in a group discussion later in the festival and see which wineries earned the People’s Choice Awards. VIPs will also receive access to a private restroom at the venue.

The wine festival will take place from Saturday, May 2nd to Sunday, May 3rd. General admission will cost $35 on Saturday and $30 on Sunday. The VIP tasting experience can be booked for $115 and will have sessions on Sunday at noon and 1:30 pm. Cities that hold seasonal events like this can market their festivals by utilizing displays made with banner printing services.
