The Town Point Club in Norfolk will host an event in March that will showcase the culinary skills of local chefs.
Chef Fest: A Taste of Joy is an experience where people can enjoy food paired with alcoholic beverages. The participating chefs will create delicious bites and compete for the title of 2025 Chef Fest Champ. Guests can vote on their favorite dishes and participate in silent and live auctions. Attendees will get to meet with the Event Chef Chair, Eddie Lee. He is an experienced chef who has written Books such as Bourbon Land and Buttermilk Graffiti.
The proceeds from this event will support the Culinary Connections program at Easterseals PORT Health. The program gives participants an immersive kitchen experience where they can learn cooking skills and nutritional literacy. The organization has teaching kitchens in Hampton Roads and Virginia Beach. There are many classes offered in the program, like Recipe for Independence, Cooking with Friends, and iCook! People can also take therapeutic courses at Culinary Connections.
The inaugural Chef Fest will be held on Wednesday, March 12th from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm. Tickets for the festival will cost $175 per person. People can also add donations to their ticket orders to support the Culinary Connections program. Organizations that put together new events such as this can increase consumer awareness by using banner printing.
