The Naval Station Norfolk Sailing Center will be holding two clinics in August to teach children and teens boat racing skills.
Kids and teenagers interested in improving their boating abilities can attend the Racing Clinic. The program will introduce participants to the fundamentals of racing small boats and cover topics such as rounding marks and getting a good start. Students will also learn about the rules of racing. One of the clinics is designated for children aged 8-12, and the second workshop is intended for teens aged 13-17. Both courses will follow the latest social distancing guidelines.
The Naval Station Norfolk Sailing Center is a recreational facility that offers guests several activities, including bowling, fishing, and paddle boarding. There are also designated areas for bowling, picnics, and working out. Many events are held at the sailing center, such as the End of Summer Boat Bash, Operation Freedom Sail, and National Marina Day. Community recreational destinations like this can promote their yearly activities to people with poster printing.
The racing clinic for kids will be held on Saturday, August 13 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and the course for teens will take place on Sunday, August 14 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The cost to attend the workshop is $50 per student, and all participants must register for the boat racing class in advance.
