Norfolk museum to debut new exhibit

The Nauticus in Norfolk will be unveiling a new exhibit in January created by Chad Pregracke and his non-profit organization.

The Nauticus will be unveiling a new display called the Message in a Bottle exhibit for guests to explore. The latest addition to the venue will showcase 50 notes and bottles found while people were cleaning rivers. The exhibit was made by Chad Pregracke, who received the title of CNN Hero of the Year in 2013, and his non-profit group known as Living Lands & Waters. Those who put together exhibitions such as this may advertise their displays using poster printing.

Living Lands & Waters was formed by Pregracke in 1998 to help clean the polluted waters of his local river. He has earned many awards, like the Jefferson Award for Public Service. Pregracke even wrote a book titled From the Bottom Up: One Man's Crusade to Clean America's Rivers. His non-profit organization is headquartered in East Moline, Illinois and organizes events such as group river clean-ups and tree plantings.

The bottle exhibit will be open to the public starting on January 22. The display will be available to view until April 24. Admission to Pregracke's exhibition is included in the ticket price to board the Nauticus, which costs $15.95 per adult and $11.50 per child. Members of the Nauticus can enter the display for free.
