It is not too late to take the kids to enjoy a Christmas outing with the animals at the Christmas Village in the Leesburg Animal Park.
The venue will be highly decorated both indoors and out, as thousands of lights and holiday decorations will be on display. Along with activities, animal encounters, and pictures with Santa, there will be a ‘Christmas Trees and Wreaths Sale’ at the Farm Market.
Activities include photos with Santa and holiday pictures with live animals, either of which will make for memorable Holiday Cards. The children an also enjoy pony rides, animal feeding and petting, and animal encounters with the larger species. The little ones will enjoy the arts and crafts activities such as making Christmas ornaments. A Kids Play Zone will help the littlest guests entertain themselves.
There will also be a live nativity scene and a bonfire for roasting marshmallows for s’mores. The new indoor facility will feature animal exhibits, along with many of the other holiday activities.
The Christmas Village runs from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on December 11, 12, 18 and19. Tickets will be $7.95 and children under two will not require tickets.
