The Town of Leesburg will host its annual Independence Day Celebration this July with all-day festivities that include a parade, fireworks, and plenty of family-friendly fun.
The Independence Day Celebration occurs every year, bringing the community of Leesburg together in fellowship and patriotic sentiment. This year is the 250th anniversary of the founding of the country, which adds an extra layer of importance to the festivities. The event will begin with the Independence Day Parade, which will start at Ida Lee Park and make its way down King Street and the historic downtown until it reaches Fairfax Street. Floats participating in the parade will also be competing in the Annual Patriots Cup Competition for best parade float.
After the parade, in the evening the community is invited to Ida Lee Park, where a live performance by Silver Bullets will take place. There will also be a food court serving hot dogs, funnel cakes, ice cream, and all manner of festival foods. The fireworks show, which is one of the largest in the area, will begin at 9:30 pm.
Organizers seeking to decorate the venues of outdoor celebrations like this may decide to invest in local banner printing services from Print shops in the area to create colorful, festive Banners to hang.
The Independence Day Celebration is slated for July 4, beginning at 10:00 am. Ida Lee Park is located at 60 Ida Lee Drive.
