Leesburg to host Independence Day parade and fireworks

Leesburg will celebrate the 4th of July with a community-wide patriotic parade and fireworks display later that night.

The Independence Day Parade will begin that morning in Downtown Leesburg. The parade route will begin at Ida Lee Park and proceed down King Street where it will then end at Fairfield Street. It will be led by the American Originals Fife & Drum Corps, who will also play a special parade prelude performance for the crowd 15 minutes before the official parade begins. Parade entries will complete for the 15th annual Patriot’s Cup Competition, which will crown the best parade float. The winner of the competition will have their names engraved on the Patriot Cup.

Later that evening, Ida Lee Park will host the Independence Day Fireworks Display. There will be a variety of food options, including hot dogs, burgers, tacos, ice cream, and funnel cakes. Live musical entertainment will feature Old Skool Cleveland, who will perform hip-hop hits that were popular in the ‘80s and ‘90s. The choreographed fireworks display will begin at 9:45 pm

Local graphic design and Print shops can be hired to create visually appealing advertising materials, such as Posters, for events like this.

The parade will begin at 10:00 am, and gates will open for the evening show at 6:00 pm. Ida Lee Park is located at 60 Ida Lee Drive Northwest.
