Runners in Leesburg can take part in the 13th Annual Freeze Your Gizzard Cross Country 5K and one-mile fun run.
The 5K course begins at the gazebo in Ida Lee Park. The scenic route has a handful of challenging hills.
After the race, there will be a party with food, drinks, and door prizes. Additional prizes will be given to the top male and female finishers overall and in each age group.
Until November 19 at 8:00 pm, registration costs $25 for the 5K and $10 for the fun run. On event day, the price increases $10. Those who pre-register for the 5K are guaranteed an event shirt, and 1K pre-registrants will be given a medal. Those who register on race day need to donate two cans of food too.
Direct Mail printing in Leesburg was likely used to promote the race. Informational Postcards or Flyers could be sent out to the community.
Packet pickup will take place on November 20 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Potomac River Running store, located on 1601 Village Market Boulevard.
The 5K race kicks off on November 21 at 9:00 am, followed by the fun run at 9:45 am. Event day registration and packet pickup will take place from 7:00 am until 8:30 am.
