Leesburg to celebrate spring with floral festivities
Next month, 35th Annual Leesburg Flower and Garden Festival will be held in town to celebrate the beauty of the coming spring season.
Attracting an average of 40,000 visitors throughout the weekend-long event, the Leesburg Flower and Garden Festival has been wowing the community and guests alike since 1990. It has been billed as the DC area’s unofficial start to spring, with its popularity blossoming each year. The festival has even won local, state, and international awards for its celebration of all things floral.
The streets of historic downtown will blossom with impressive landscape and floral displays as over 200 vendors are expected to showcase their wares. The festival will feature gardening supplies, landscapers, flower and plant sellers, and even outdoor living furniture. There will be a rooftop beer garden for the adults, as well as plenty of family-friendly activities and entertainment courtesy of The Garden Patch. There will also be live musical performances to enjoy. Attendees will receive free canvas totes while supplies last.
Festivals like this may decide to decorate the venue with a multitude of colorful banners expressing the essence of the festival. Local print shops specializing in banner printing services may be of help to organizers wishing to use such materials.
The flower festival is slated for the April 26 and 27 weekend. It will take place at 25 West Market Street.
