A local aviation organization will host its annual educational and career expo this November.
The event, called “The Sky Is Not the Limit,” is geared towards all local high schoolers and college students who would like to explore a career in aviation. The aim of the expo is to make young adults and teenagers aware of the many options available for those looking to step into the field. There will be educational seminars, displays by aircraft specialists, and vendors of aviation souvenirs throughout the event. There will also be a variety of prizes available to guests.
An exciting prospect for youngsters will be the opportunity to earn scholarships. There will be several available with varying aviation-related institutions. Those applying must be between the ages of 16 and 22 years of age. If successful, they must be present to receive their award. The event is open to both individual students and institutions. It is free for all to attend, but attendees must register in advance. The expo takes place on Friday November 4 at the Leesburg Executive Airport located at 1001 Sycolin Road Southeast, Leesburg. It begins at 9:00 am and ends at 2:00 pm.
