High-flying festival takes place in Leesburg

A kite and craft festival will be held in Leesburg this August.

At the Leesburg Festival of Craft and Kites, patrons can look forward to an afternoon of fun-filled activities suitable for the entire family. These will include arts and crafts activities for the children, and displays of original products from over 60 artists. Local shops, non-profit organizations, and entrepreneurs will also be on-site to offer customers various alternative items for sale.

The festival takes place in an outdoor setting, where patrons can truly appreciate unique kites from other attendees, or fly their own. The venue will also have various food and drink options for sale from local eateries, as well as music from the event’s international DJ and other entertainment. It will take place rain or shine, and residents can expect a fully immersive experience as they explore individual booths in a free and leisurely atmosphere.

The festival is free to attend for all residents, although changes in policies are subject to CDC guidelines regarding Covid-19.

This event takes place on Saturday, August 20 at the Ida Lee Recreation Park located at 60 Ida Lee Drive NW, Leesburg. The festival will begin at 11:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm.
