A free children's business fair is to be held in Loudoun County this September.
The Loudoun Children's Business Fair gives children between the ages of 6-16 an avenue where they can express their own business ideas. The aim is to create confident and innovative children by nurturing an entrepreneurial spirit from a young age.
There will be an educational aspect for children to learn the basics of running a business. These include the steps of planning and executing business plans, marketing strategies and sales management.
This learning experience culminates in a once-in-a-lifetime fair at the Pavilions in Moorefield Station Park. Children must create a brand with a product or service, as well as a marketing strategy to raise awareness and sell items.
The fair invites participants to set up their own booths, tables, and chairs and present their product or service to those in attendance. Each booth will allow a maximum of three participants per team.
It is free for all to attend, and for children to participate. However, all participants must first register through the event's website. Any earnings from the event are the children's to keep.
