Leesburg residents can attend a special yearly event towards the end of next month.
The 6th Annual Leesburg Airshow will have aerobatic demonstrations, featured aerial performers, and skydivers. Guests can bring chairs and blankets to use in the aerobatic viewing areas. In the display area, there will be unique aircraft for visitors to see.
Along with watching amazing feats in the sky, there will be a wide variety of exhibitors, including flight schools and aviation clubs. There will also be refreshments for sale including items such as funnel cakes.
In addition to planes and other aircraft, both new and vintage automobiles will be on display at the event’s car show. Applications to display an aircraft or automobile are available on the Leesburg Airshow website.
Admission is free, although there is a suggested donation of $3 per person or $5 per family.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available for between $500 and $10,000. Sponsors will receive recognition on websites and some will have their logos on event Posters. It is likely the event organizers have used a poster printing service for this purpose.
The airshow will take off on September 26 at 11:00 am. Gates will close at 4:00 pm and the main show will begin at 1:00 pm.
The Leesburg Executive Airport is located at 1001 Southeast Sycolin Road. Parking and shuttle use are both free.
