Provo bike ride for women
Goldilocks Provo is an annual bike ride for women. It will be an opportunity for women to ride in a non-competitive, fully supported riding event through South Utah County.
Available routes will be 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 miles. All registration will be $85 and girls ages eight and up can ride.
The route will begin from Provo Towne Centre Mall, 1200 Towne Centre Blvd., and go south to Springville. From there it continues to Lincoln Beach, goes around West Mountain, and on through Genola and Santaquin, turning around in Mona. All rides will end at the Expo.
The route will have support riders called Mama and Papa Bears riding with others, so there will be a few males along the route. These riders will help change flat tires and fix minor mechanical problems. There will also be a help hotline manned by Papa Bear Dispatch. SAG vehicles will be roaming the route, as well. Volunteers will be manning aid stations, which will be fully stocked.
Leisurely rides like these with friends offer ample opportunities for picture taking for Orem cyclists. These pictures can go to local stationery printers to be made into notecards or stationery that can be shared with the riding buddies as commemorative souvenirs of the times they have spent together.
