Orem art show raises money for foster children

Orem residents with an interest in art and a goal of making a difference in the community have a memorable event to look forward to.

The “Pieces of Me” Art Show Benefiting Utah Foster Care has announced an official date for a fundraiser in support of children in foster care, and Kalia Suapaia, the Miss Utah All-America. The evening will be one of storytelling and exploring the pieces displayed at the exhibit. The pieces are all works completed by artists with lived experience in the foster care system, providing a way for members of the Orem community to make connections.

The show’s theme, “Pieces of Me,” plans to showcase completed works by artists of all ages. The display is meant to share unique perspectives from those closest to the system. Poster printing is a colorful way to build awareness and excitement about events like this. Guests will have a chance to honor and celebrate the artists and the foster care system by attending.

Members of the Utah Foster Care staff will be in attendance at the gathering, along with local foster families. Light refreshments will be available to guests.

The show will be held at Utah Foster Care on West Center Street in Orem, and is scheduled for Friday, March 20th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Attendance is free, and reservations can be made online.
