Summer performances of the arts are coming to Orem next month, giving area residents who enjoy Shakespeare an event to build into their plans.
The Shakespeare in The Orchard performance, which is being organized by University Place Orem, has set the date for interested parties to witness two separate Shakespeare plays in an outdoor setting. The evening will be one that is filled with laughter, and families with children are welcome to join the fun.
The lawn will be open for comfortable seating, with attendees welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs to watch the show. Several food trucks and other vendors will attend, offering families the chance to turn the evening into a picnic while supporting local businesses. Organizers can use brochure printing to share information about each of the plays, the production company and cast, as well as to promote the event’s sponsors to attendees.
Much Ado About Nothing will begin the Shakespeare special, followed by an intermission period. Following the intermission, the Grassroots Shakespeare cast will perform The Tempest, which is expected to run for roughly one hour. The production company aims to provide the audience with a unique outdoor theater experience.
The play will be held at 575 E. University Parkway in Orem. It is scheduled for Monday, June 29th, with the gates opening at 5:00 PM. Admission is free and open to the public.
