Woodbine Development, a Dallas company, is going to revise its plans for a new hotel to be located in San Antonio’s downtown.
According to an April 15, 2015 news item, Woodbine’s original plans called for a 250-room, 21-story, luxury hotel to be constructed on the River Walk. The proposed site is on Soledad Street, in the 100 block.
Woodbine Development met with the Historic and Design Review Commission (HDRC) Wednesday and presented its plans for the project, which including demolishing the Clegg building, the Solo Serve building, and others in the 100 block of Soledad. Members of the commission expressed some concern over the number of buildings that Woodbine planned to demolish.
Faced with the concerns of the commissioners, Woodbine withdrew its application and agreed to return to meet with the commission again in another two weeks, with a modified plan. Although Woodbine’s plans called for extensive demolition, the developer revealed it planned to reuse a great many of the stone facades from the destroyed buildings as part of the new construction. If approved, construction of the new project should take about a year.
Once the hotel is complete, management might consider working with Stationery printers to create a letterhead for the new building. They will also need to work with a business card printing company in order to have up-to-date Business Cards for their employees.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards Get a Free Quote for Stationery
