A San Antonio event in a month is giving area residents a way to celebrate the festive season, with a bit of the local culture mixed in.
Cowboy Christmas is an event from the Briscoe Western Art Museum. The experience gives locals a chance to partake in some themed activities and meet the jolly Cowboy Santa, who will be happy to chat. Included in the activities are holiday-themed craft projects and a scavenger hunt. The hunt has a “12 Days of Christmas” theme. It will also allow the attendees to explore the exhibits the museum has to offer as they work to complete it.
For residents of San Antonio and the wider Bexar County, attending the event is free, as it lands on the venue’s “Locals Day.” For others, it is included in the cost of entry to the museum, which is $16 for general admission, $8 for active military and dependents, and $14 for seniors, veterans, and students. Those aged 12 or younger get free entry. Members of the museum also get free access, with membership fees ranging from $60 to $10,000.
The event will be taking place on Sunday, December 7. Flyer printing is a commonly chosen technique for promoting events held at local museums. The festivities will be running between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.
