Pearland initiative planned for local youth

An event that will give young people tools they can use to navigate their way to the adult world is right around the corner for Pearland.

An initiative of Gathering Outreach at the Pearland Town Center, the workshop will be packed with information, and it is intended for youth from grades seven to twelve. The participants will learn through a combination of guided learning and small group work, and the organizers noted that one of the main goals for the activity is to have fun.

The topics on the agenda range from independent living to job preparedness, and the facilitator will have more than 15 years of experience in the field of human resource and organizational psychology. A variety of leadership styles will be discussed, and each learner will be able to gain some experience in conflict resolution.

Tickets for this opportunity are on sale now, and are priced at $75. Manuals and other texts for this sort of session allow the young people who take part to continue to add to their knowledge base even after it has drawn to a close, and these can be ordered from local Print shops.

The date for this tax deductible workshop is May 22, and all young people who feel it could be useful to them are welcome. More details, including where it will be held, will be added to the host’s website as the date draws closer.
