The Pearland Chinese Association will organize a celebration in February for the Lunar New Year.
The Pearland Lunar New Year Festival is a cultural event where attendees can learn about and experience Chinese traditions in a family-friendly environment. There will be several activities, such as Chinese chess, face painting, and calligraphy. Guests can also watch a performance of the Lion Dance and Dragon Dance. Attendees will get to listen to traditional Chinese music and see works of art. There will even be a photo booth with Chinese costumes.
Companies can also become part of the Lunar New Year celebration by sponsoring the event. There are many tiers for businesses to choose from that cost between $500 and $5,000. Those who sponsor the festival will receive logo recognition on the event’s brochure, banner representation at the fest, and an advertisement in a slide show that plays during the celebration. Higher sponsorship tiers will include benefits like speaking time on the event stage and being called out by the host.
The fest will be held on Saturday, February 21st from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. The celebration will take place at the Pearland Recreation Center and is free for the community to attend.
