Pearland to welcome spring with family festival

Pearland Parks and Recreation will organize an event in April where families can celebrate spring together.

Spring Fest is an annual city tradition that invites families to enjoy themed kid-friendly activities. There will be many things for kids to do at the festival, such as a building block activity, face painting by the ACU of Texas, and visiting the H-E-B Imagination Station. Guests can enjoy live performances at the fest and browse local crafters at the event’s market. There will even be a zone with rides, inflatables, and games that kids can pay extra to enter.

The spring-themed festival will also help the news station KHOU 11 with its Turn the Page Literacy Initiative. The book drive will support the organization Books Between Kids by providing it with new and gently used children’s Books. Those who donate Books will help these organizations expand literacy efforts throughout Houston. Guests who bring at least one book to the event will receive a $2 discount on their activity wristbands.

The festival will be on Saturday, April 11th and will last between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm. There is no cost for families to enjoy many of the activities at the event, though those interested in riding rides can pay $12. Cities that host seasonal family celebrations like this can use poster printing to share event details with the community.
