Pearland fundraiser seeking citys chili champ

Pearland’s firefighters put their lives on the line every day of the year, and the community has been asked to take a tasty stand in support of the organization.

BAKFISH has made plans to host a chili cook off, and there will be at least 20 teams vying for the honorary title of Chili Champ. There will be two guest judges who will choose their top picks, and the public is invited to have its say as well.

Tickets for the competition are available now, and they entitled the bearer to taste 20 samples of chili, as well as a chance to vote for their favorite. The judges will include a local chef and a firefighter, and the proceeds will be donated to the Pearland Fire Department. Anyone who would like to help out but can’t attend in person is encouraged to make a monetary donation, and all assistance is welcome.

An activity like this often calls for fun decor, and a printing services company will have lots of options for this. It can even custom design signage and other items, including the function’s Logo Design in the various pieces it creates.

The BAKFISH Chili Fest is set to bring the heat to the city on January 31. The doors will open to the public at 1:00 pm, and the venue can be found at 1231 East Broadway Street.
