Pearland residents will soon be offered an opportunity to change the stigma that surrounds mental illness, while at the same enjoying a special evening out with their friends and neighbors.
Counseling Connections for Change, Inc. will be hosting its Mental Health Matters White Out Night Out, and it has invited the community to participate. The guests will be treated to dinner, and a variety of other activities are also on the agenda for the occasion.
Those who attend the function will have an opportunity to mingle and socialize, and music and other entertainment will be provided. Stories that support the mental health community will be shared, and a live auction is also on the slate. Women are asked to wear white cocktail attire, and the men have been requested to come dressed in all white, or a pair of khakis and a white shirt.
To help make the most of the event, an assortment of opportunities have been created for local businesses to sponsor the function. These start at $250, and each comes with its own set of benefits as a way of showing appreciation for the support.
