Midland County Fair to mark summer

Few events are as all-American as a summer county fair. Residents will have plenty to explore as the 14th Midland County Fair returns to town next month.

Over 30 attractions will be available at this year's fair, celebrating the intersection of agriculture and community. Attendees can visit the petting zoo, various livestock shows, a car show, and concerts. Classic festival attractions will include a lighted Ferris wheel, funnel cakes, and games of chance.

In addition, organizers have added a special Texas flavor to the fair by including the Chase Quine Memorial Bull Ride. Here, viewers can experience the sight of courageous bull riders pitting their abilities against bucking, spinning bulls in a showdown of skills. Many FFA and 4-H members from local schools will be participating in animal shows and competitions as well. Poster printing and other services from Print shops can be a way to draw attention to these events.

Fair lovers have their choice of many other activities, including a hot dog eating contest, the Spin & Sing Karaoke Spectacular, a radio-controlled car race, and tractor pulls. The little ones are not left out either; attractions for them include Pinto & Latte’s Kiddie Carnival, a petting zoo, and Kid Zone Storytime.

The 2025 Midland County Fair will be held Thursday, August 21 through Sunday, August 24. The county fairgrounds are located at 1115 Tradewinds Boulevard in Midland. Admission is $5, with children under five and adults over 65 admitted free.
