Theater announces its new MD

The McKinney Youth Theatre recently announced that it has successfully found a candidate for its new position of managing director.

The job was awarded to Hollie Hongosh, who was previously the director of the Plano Children’s Theatre, the Frisco Youth Theatre, and the McKinney Youth Theatre for the past three years. In her new role, she will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the theatre, as well as setting its annual program.

The not-for-profit’s Executive Director, Sara Akers, spoke of her excitement at Hongosh’s promotion, and she feels that she will bring a lot of experience, enthusiasm, and creativity to her job, which will be of great benefit to the theater and the youth it serves.

Before coming to the McKinney area, Hongosh was the Youth Program Manager with Olmstead Performing Arts in Cleveland. Ohio. She notes that she is very pleased to be helping the McKinney Youth Theatre to bring the highest quality of performing arts to the local community.

As part of her job, Hongosh may need to procure printed items such as advertising Posters, programs for plays, Banners, Copies of scripts, and other essentials.
