McKinney residents who enjoy nothing more than spending time out in their garden may want to be in the crowd for a mid-March horticultural celebration.
The organizers of The Garden Show have crafted a full schedule of activities, and there will be offerings for all ages. It will provide the community with an assortment of easy ways to support small businesses in the horticultural and home improvement sector. All monies raised will be donated to community feeding programs.
Attendees will be able to sit in on presentations, shop from area businesses in the vendor area, and try their luck in the family-friendly scavenger hunts. Presenters will discuss topics ranging from growing top tomatoes to low-water gardening, pruning, and plant pairings.
The organizers note that a portion of the funding for the day comes from the McKinney Community Development Corporation.
Garden-themed expos like this may be especially popular as winter changes to spring, and they offer a fun way for a small company to build its customer base. Business card printing and other marketing services for a special occasion can be obtained from a local printer.
The McKinney Garden Show will be ushering in spring for area home horticulturalists on Saturday, March 18. The Myers Park & Event Center will serve as the venue for the festivities.
