While many McKinney residents may be familiar with its wild spaces during the daytime, an upcoming walk will explore a hidden side to the city that comes out once the sun goes down.
The Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary has plans in the works for a night-time excursion, and it will introduce local nature lovers to the creatures that are active in the dark. The participants will be encouraged to use their senses of sight and hearing during the outing.
The guided activity will walk the trails at the museum and sanctuary, and the facilitator will provide details about the animals and plants that call the site home. Participants will have a chance to ask questions as they look for tracks and other Signs of wildlife.
Both members and non-members can take part. The fee to sign up is $12 for Heard members and $14 for non-members.
Nature walks offer opportunities to enjoy some fresh air and exercise while learning more about local wildlife. A flyer printing company will be able to provide an assortment of innovative ideas for marketing these types of activities.
Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary has made arrangements to host this outdoor excursion on January 15. A request has been made that everyone who signs up be on site by no later than 6:00 pm. The function is limited to those age three and up.
