McKinney series to explore land management

A McKinney workshop will introduce the public to a variety of topics related to land management next month.

The 2021 Landowner 101 workshop series, which is being presented to the community courtesy of Texas A & M AgriLife Extension, will cover subject material that may be useful to local landowners. Anyone who is interested can choose to participate in as few or as many sessions as they wish, and they will be held at the Myers Park and Event Center.

The May workshop will have plenty to offer anyone who plans on starting an agricultural business, with marketing, resource assessment, and company management all on the agenda. June’s will discuss fencing, pond management and equipment selection, and maintenance, while July will be dedicated to sustainability. The series will wrap up in August with a reverie of animal husbandry issues. The fee to register for any of these is $30.

Hosting learning opportunities like these is one way an extension office can support a community’s agricultural sector. Manuals and other handouts for the occasion may be ordered from local Print shops, which will also be able to supply promotional Pens and other items.

The upcoming date for these instalments of the 2021 Landowner 101 Workshop Series will be May 28, June 25, July 23, and August 27. The registration process can be completed through its Eventbrite listing.
