McKinney museum planning family campout

A family campout gives parents and kids time to have fun and make some memories, and the families that pitch their tent in an event planned by the Heard Natural Science Museum will be enjoying this experience.

McKinney families with children from ages 5 to 12 will be treated to a taste of a night in the wilderness without having to leave their own home town. Each group attending will need to be accompanied by an adult, and the organizers have crafted a schedule filled with age-appropriate activities.

The evening will explore the museum grounds after hours, giving the campers a chance to learn about its nocturnal side. They will make s’mores, enjoy a dinner of pizza and lemonade, and may bring other snacks if they wish. They will need to provide their own gear, and a full list of suggested items to bring has been prepared for the occasion.

A campout can be a lot of fun for families, and those who take part may walk away with memories they can always cherish. Equipment lists, waivers, Letterheads, and promotional materials can all be prepared for an activity by area printers.

The Heard Museum Family Campout will see kids and parents enjoy a night under the stars on August 12, and will be repeated on October 21 for anyone who misses out or wants to do it again.
