McKinney law enforcement professionals invited to explore new technology

Law enforcement personnel from the McKinney area who want to find out about the latest developments when it comes to communication technologies for police may be interested in an August workshop.

The organizers of ‘The Connected Police Car’ have put together an agenda that will be focused on the technologies that allow law enforcement officers to stay in contact while they perform their duties. It will include representatives from several technology companies including Sierra Wireless, Microsoft and First Net, and attendance is free of charge.

The event will begin with check in at 11:00 am, and after they arrive, the delegates can mingle and network. The presentations will start at 11:30 am, and the first session will discuss next generation mobile technology that can aid police officers in the performance of their duties. In the afternoon, the attendees will find out how they can make the Evidence Library cloud platform work for them.

The planners of the symposium noted that discussion will be encouraged, and the officers can ask any questions they have. Information packages are often distributed during an event like this, and if they include Business Cards from the companies represented, it will make it easy for the attendees to contact them should they require more information at a later date.

This chance for McKinney law enforcement professionals to keep abreast with some of the latest developments in their field will be offered on August 15. It will be taking place at 415 E Exchange Parkway.
