McKinney families offered overnight campout fun

Families in McKinney will soon be taking to the great outdoors for a camp out, and it will introduce them to the creatures most active once the sun goes down.

The Heard has planned its Fall Campout for Families, which will be an afterhours event. Only a limited number of tickets are being offered, and it is geared towards families that have kids from the ages five to twelve. There must be at least one adult for every four children.

Those who register for the night must supply their own tent and other gear, and a 10:00 pm lights out time will be strictly enforced. A dinner of lemonade and pizza will be served, and the participants may bring along snacks if they wish. Sleeping Bags, personal items, a sleeping pad, flashlight, and bug repellent are all recommended, and there will be a water bottle refill station on site.

Hosting a public activity often includes asking the participants to sign waivers and other business Forms. A printer can supply a wide selection of these, along with Letterheads and other custom documents.

The Heard Fall Family Campout will be offering a night sleeping under the stars on November 5. It will begin at 5:00 pm at 1 Nature Place in McKinney, and a full list of suggested supplies is available on the Heard’s website.
