Sewing is an activity that can be both fun and practical, and a McKinney class series will introduce this pastime to a new generation of sewists.
Jump Into Art Studios has set the start date for its Kids Beginning Sewing and Stitching Program, and these youth that take part will learn the basics of the craft. This can be a fun way to increase fine motor skills and hand to eye coordination, and it also provides a creative outlet.
The activity schedule runs from early September to mid-December, and both hand and machine sewing will be included. The classes will be divided into five week blocks, and the kids can register for one set or all of them. Each attendees will complete at least one project during each class, and they will learn what items are “must haves” for home sewists. They will learn how to prepare a sewing machine for use, including how to thread one, and each student will walk away with skills they can build on at home.
Companies and groups that offer workshops and classes may find themselves in the market for registration Forms and other custom designed documents. These can be prepared by Stationery printers.
This opportunity for future sewists to get their feet wet will begin on September 5th, and the final date will be December 9th at 404 N Church Street. Anyone who would like to register can do so on the Jump Into Art Studios website.
