McKinney class to craft fused glass

Even a flower garden can be a little drab when there are no blooms open, and those who participate in a McKinney class will still be able to enjoy some color during their planting’s down time.

Both flower and vegetable gardeners may be able to make good use of the fused glass plant stakes that will be made during a class planned for Jump to Art Studios. Tickets are $75 each, and everyone will walk away with up to three items they have crafted themselves.

Each of the projects will use glass that the participants have cut and prepared, and they will then undergo the fusion process. All skill levels are welcome to get involved, and no previous experience is needed to join the fun. The registrants will be able to pick up their stakes in several weeks, and the facilitator for the activity will be Deanna Smith.

Learning a new hobby can be a lot of fun, and a workshop can help those who are interested to get their feet wet. Business Forms such as liability waivers, Letterheads, and other Stationery will all be on offer at a local printer.

This introduction to the art of working with fused glass is scheduled for Saturday, September 9. It will run from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm at 404 N Church Street.
