McKinney Chamber plans bag stuffing day

The McKinney Chamber of Commerce has developed an assortment of initiatives to help keep its corporate community going strong, and one of these is seeking assistance from its membership.

One of the projects undertaken by the organization is stuffing New Resident Bags with special gifts and informational materials. These will be delivered to those who have relocated to the community, along with their Progressive Waste Solutions recycling bins, and this will help local businesses to introduce themselves.

To participate, each member is asked to supply 100 items of one type, such as small Promotional Products, Brochures, or Flyers, and these must be dropped off ahead of the activity. Each member is asked to commit to assisting with bag stuffing at least once each quarter, and their account must also be current to participate.

Offering new residents community welcome packages can help them feel settled into their new home, and the items will also let them know about the products and services available in the area. Anyone who has questions about this initiative of the McKinney Chamber of Commerce is asked to call 972-542-0163.

The Chamber has scheduled its bag stuffing day for Monday, February 13 at its office located at 7300 State Highway. All items to be included will need to be dropped off on February 9 and 10.
