Local not-for-profit to host open house evening

For seniors or those who live alone and cannot prepare their own food, Meals on Wheels provides both nutritious fare and a friendly face, and during an upcoming McKinney open house, people can learn more about this public service program.

Meals on Wheels Collins County will be opening its doors for an evening that will give locals a behind-the-scenes look at how the not-for-profit helps local people. There will also be a special raffle draw, and the prize will be a pack of four Disney tickets.

During the open house style function, the public can enjoy a glass of wine and some samples of small bites while they mingle and enjoy one another’s company. There will be music playing to help create a festive atmosphere, and the guests will also learn about the various community partners that help Meals on Wheels to help others.

An awareness raising event of this type can give a not for profit group an simple way of spreading the word about its efforts. Print shops can lend a hand, and can offer a variety of products, services and other supports that can make planning the occasion a whole lot easier.

The Meals on Wheels Open House evening will be held on February 7. The venue for the celebration can be found at 600 N Tennessee St.
