Houston’s women veterans and their families will be enjoying a day of holiday-themed TLC this December.
The American Legion Post 654 will be hosting the Women Veterans Holiday Party near Christmas. The guests at the planned holiday party will be treated to an afternoon of food, fun, and time with friends. While the schedule makes time for activities that will be geared towards the younger guests, there will also be plenty of options for the adults attending.
Both Santa and Mrs. Claus are set to drop by to visit with the kids, with numerous gifts set to be given out. Everyone can play the games and try their luck in the raffle draw. All parents or guardians are reminded to include the name, gender, and age of their children so that there will be a present for them under the tree. Both adult and children’s tickets are available.
Celebrating the aptly named ‘strength behind the uniform’, events like this are a great way to honor military families and thank them for their support. Special themed decor may help to make an occasion feel even more exciting; these can be prepared by a local banner printing company.
This afternoon of festivities will show some love to female veterans and their families on Sunday, December 17. It will begin at 2:00pm, with tickets available for purchase now.
