Houston golf classic to support Devereux School

For the past 19 years, a Houston golf classic has offered a fun-filled way to support a local school for children with complex needs, and it is set to make its return in May.

The golfers in the annual Divots for Devereux Golf Classic will be teeing off in support of Devereux School and its scholarship program. It will follow a scramble format, and since it will be its 20th anniversary, the planners will be pulling out all the stops.

The day will begin with registration. Following this, there will be an afternoon tee off. The golfing action will be followed by dinner and an auction, and the presenting sponsor for the day is Sterling McCall Lexus of Clear Lake.

To help ensure the function meets its fundraising goals, the organizers have put out a call seeking sponsors for the day. There are several levels to choose from, and each includes green fees, the use of a cart, lunch and dinner, drinks, a merchandise bag, and the inclusion of their Logo Design and branding in the promotional materials used to market the event to the local community.

The Annual Divots for Devereux Golf Classic will offer a day of celebration for a good cause. It will take place on May 6, with registration beginning at 10:30am. The Bay Oaks Country Club will host the festivities.
