The Houston Humane Society has cordially invited local golfers and duffers alike to be part of an activity that will raise much needed funds for homeless animals.
The organization has made plans for its 32nd annual charity golf tournament. Dubbed the “Par for Pets” tournament, it will take place in mid-November at Quail Valley Golf Course, and the day will kick off with a morning shotgun start.
The golfers in the event will follow a scramble format, and there will be optional contests for them to attempt. The winner of the hole-in-one competition will go home with a large cash prize, and everyone will be treated to lunch as well as an auction and awards presentation. Its listing explained that the occasion can be enjoyed by individuals and groups alike, and it can be a fun team builder for an office or other workplace.
Many not-for-profit groups that count events as one of their major funding streams call on area Print shops to help. They will be able to prepare everything from prizes for draws to registration Forms and other custom Stationery printing work.
This opportunity to enjoy a day out on the course while doing a good turn for animals who need a second chance will be held on November 11. The shotgun will be fired at 9:00 am to tell the players it will be time to begin their game.
