June is a month when the nation focuses on men’s health issues, and Houston has plans in the works for an event that will help them to live their best lives when the month comes round.
The organizers of the Men’s Health Fair and Expo are hard at work creating an experience that will cover a variety of issues related to their health and wellbeing.
The fair will give an assortment of health-related not-for-profit groups, companies, and healthcare professionals an opportunity to connect with the public, and screenings, workshops, complimentary refreshments, haircuts, and chair massages will be the order of the day. The entertainment will be supplied by DJ Alkemy, and raffle for an assortment of Corporate Gifts will round out the festivities.
One of the parts of the activity that the planners hope will be especially popular is the blood donor clinic set up by The Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center. There will be a mobile collection station on site, and everyone who decides to take part will have a chance to save a life.
Gite Gallery, which is located at 2024 Alabama Street in Houston, will be hosting this celebration of men’s health on Thursday, June 15, just in time for Father's Day. Tickets will be available to the public starting on May 1.
