A Houston botanical shop that specializes in native plants will be welcoming moms for an event that will offer them a special salute to thank them for all they do.
The team at Buchanan’s Native Plants will be partnering with Ponderosa Blooms to host a Mother's Day-themed floral workshop. Tickets to be part of the class are $85, and it will run for one hour.
The ticket price includes the flowers and greenery, as well as instruction in the basics of floral design. It will utilize an assortment of seasonal blooms, and everyone will walk away with a one-of-a-kind bouquet they prepared themselves. The session has been planned so that it will be beginner friendly, and everyone is welcome to bring their own drinks and snacks to enjoy while they work. The class will be held outdoors under a pavilion, rain or shine.
Working with fresh flowers and other botanicals may be a fun way to enjoy an afternoon with Mom or another special woman in someone’s life. Tip sheets for keeping a bouquet looking fresh for as long as possible can be prepared by Stationery printers.
This chance for moms and their adult kids to enjoy an hour of making both bouquets and memories will be on offer on Saturday, May 11. It will be held at 611 East 11th Street.
