Thanksgiving time brings residents and out-of-town visitors to the meeting point on Post Oak Boulevard to celebrate in the annual Uptown Houston Holiday Lighting event.
The family-friendly event has been taking place for 28 years and is free to the public, Larger-than-life holiday characters will be seen, along with a special appearance from Mr. Santa Claus and his reindeer. Over half a million lights will be turned on amongst 80 trees by Santa Claus and his helpers.
Music will be provided by local groups so that attendees can enjoy the sounds of the holidays. Vendors will bring food snacks and holiday favorites, such as cotton candy, kettle corn, funnel cakes, and holiday beverages. Donations from concession sales benefit Houston’s charities.
Vendors can contact their local Print companies to arrange for any printing projects that might be needed to participate. Banner printing is common, as Banners are used in every booth to depict the business name and product. Flyer printing is also ordered often so information can be distributed prior to the event to stimulate interest.
As the holiday music plays, an extravaganza of holiday fireworks will light up the evening sky. The fireworks are choreographed to the holiday music.
