The 13th annual Empty Bowls Houston is taking place next month. It is a fundraiser for the Houston Food Bank.
There will be a preview party this Friday, June 2 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Guests will be treated to appetizers, beer, and wine, and an early chance to purchase the bowls of their choice. Tickets are $50 each.
The Empty Bowls Houston gala will feature handmade bowls from local ceramic artists. Guests will purchase the one they want and will be served a lunch of soup in that bowl. The minimum cost for each bowl is $25. Organizers are still accepting donations from Houston artists.
There will also be pottery and woodturning demonstrations, live musical entertainment and the opportunity for guests to play with clay and create their own ceramic piece.
The gala has raised over $745,000 for the Houston Food Bank ,which helps thousands of city residents every day.
To advertise fundraising events like this, Houston Stationery printing companies will often be asked to provide printed products to ensure a high turnout.
