Houston golfers tend to enjoy a longer season than those in the north, and one of its early spring fundraising events will offer them an excuse to take to the greens for a cause.
Gus Wortham Park Golf Course will be the location for the annual Houston East End Chamber’s Scholarship Golf Tournament, which has become a popular local event. It will raise money to help area scholars achieve their educational goals, and the play will open with a shotgun start.
The course, which can be found in the city’s downtown, covers an area of 150 acres. The activity will include networking opportunities, and the day will open with a meet-and-greet luncheon.
To help make the fundraiser a success, the organizers are reaching out to Chamber members seeking support. To make it easier to get involved, a sponsorship program has been created, with options ranging from Tee Sponsors at $300 up to Presenting Sponsors at $10,000.
To thank the companies and individuals that provide financial support to an activity, organizers often order special Corporate Gifts from area printers. An assortment of awards, certificates, and other items are available, and these can incorporate a function or group’s logo.
The 2025 Houston East End Chamber’s Scholarship Golf Tournament is set to tee off on Wednesday, April 9. More details about its sponsorship program and how to purchase tickets are available on the Chamber’s website.
